F11 Foto Museum

Hong Kong.

Completed 2014.

Museum design consultancy, exhibition furniture design, project management.

F11 is a unique museum dedicated to all aspects of photography; the Museum’s collection includes photographic prints, photography books and cameras. The museum is housed in a preserved Grade III Art Deco building in Happy Valley, Hong Kong.

Working closely with Douglas So – the Museum’s founder- and  Meta4 – the appointed architects – Design for Culture consulted on design details relating to exhibition issues during the design and construction process and designed a family of exhibition furniture pieces that included tables, several showcases, seats and plinths.

Design for Culture took part in the curatorial process for the inaugural exhibition of work by Magnum photographer Elliott Erwitt and designed collateral and signage for this show.

DFC also advised on the selection of chairs, sofas and tables used throughout the venue.
