Completed 2018

Exhibition design, exhibition graphics, interpretation development, project management.

Design For Culture designed the enclosure and surrounding spaces for Hong Kong Maritime Museum’s HK$4.7 million KM Koo Ship Bridge Simulator, a professional grade Ship Bridge simulator with a state-of-the-art control deck for ocean-going vessels.

Visitors can control a variety of ships including police launch, star ferry or container ship and experience various roles of seafarers in an immersive and authentic ‘sea journey’ through Hong Kong waters.

Work included rearranging the existing exhibits to create space for the simulator, developing a visitor flow around the simulator, designing the volume enclosing the simulator, and developing the interpretative texts and visuals for the simulator in collaboration with the Museum’s curatorial team.
