300,000 visitors.

Exhibition design, exhibition graphics and project management.

Masterpieces from the Musée National Picasso, Paris.

The project required the conversion of the museum’s temporary black box exhibition halls in a venue for exhibiting world class art. To achieve this new 4m white partitions were erected and the existing ceiling painted a warm grey to match the existing slate tiles. Distracting detail was eliminated, resulting in a calm space where Picasso’s works were the focus. At the exhibition exterior a bright red wall with photos of Picasso connected the three exhibition halls. A large banner in the museum lobby announced the exhibition and created an intimate space with seating bench in front of the exhibition entrance.
